Although it takes about 30 minutes
less to get here via the "fast route" the shortest route is by far the
prettiest way to get to Carrabelle from the central and southern part of the
state. If you take the "fast route" there is a
Cracker Barrel restaurant at the Lake City exit which is about 5 miles before you hit
Interstate I-10.
If you are not in too big of a hurry
either coming to, or leaving Carrabelle, you should make it a point to stop at the Christmas Shop at Exit 368 on I-75. You've never seen anything like it. It has 3
levels of Christmas ornaments, antiques, model train sets and lots of other neat stuff.
The big model train on the 3rd level has over 25 miles of track. Trust me, you'll be
glad you stopped. Have a safe trip.
